We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wireless Lock Specialist to join our team! The Wireless Lock Specialist is responsible for servicing, installing, and providing internal and external support for the online components and software of multifamily security systems. This role will lead wireless lock installation projects while also assisting with electronic and mechanical lock services. The position requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and customer service excellence. While experience is a bonus, we are willing to train the right person!

JOB DUTIES

  • Troubleshoot issues with wireless lock hardware and software.
  • Work to minimize, ideally eliminate, same day wireless lock service calls.
  • Educate customers on how to use the technology.
  • Manage daily schedule and work with customers directly to best accommodate their requests.
  • Assist and advise on new product research and recommendations.
  • Lead programming of software and fobs.
  • Assist with the installation of wireless locks as necessary.
  • Assist with additional lock and electronic installs and service
  • Assist with commercial lock service
  • Troubleshoot doors, door hardware, locks, etc.
  • Perform lock and door service, which may include rekeying locks.
  • Participate in low-voltage security installations (Access Control, IP Video/CCTV/Video Surveillance, Burglar/Security Alarm Systems, Intercoms, etc).
  • Contribute to all physical aspects of the installation process (planning, wiring, devicing, programming, testing, training, troubleshooting, etc.).

Requirements

  • More than 2 years of previous work experience
  • Enjoys hands on work and has a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Good problem solving and logic skills
  • Polished communication and customer service skills
  • Customer first attitude
  • Comfortable working autonomously and/or as part of a team
  • Ability to organize/plan daily time
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to pass background check, drug test and DMV record check
  • HS Diploma

PREFERRED work experience

  • Construction experience
  • Carpentry experience
  • Work experience requiring mechanical aptitude
  • Understanding of basic electronics
  • Sales experience
